International Geodetic Student Meeting (IGSM)

The International Geodetic Student Meeting (IGSM) is an annual meeting of students and alumni from all over the world who are active in various fields of geodesy. The aim of the IGSM is the subject-related exchange between active and former students. For this purpose, excursions, presentations, poster sessions and workshops are offered, which serve not only the professional exchange but also to get to know each other. The meeting also offers a unique opportunity to experience the customs and cultures of other countries. The IGSM has taken place annually since the first meeting 1988 in Delft. The umbrella organisation, the International Geodetic Student Organisation (IGSO), was founded in Graz in 1991.
